Artist displays her latest work

An exhibition of work by a Pwllheli artist is on display at an Anglesey art gallery until the end of the month.

Catrin Williams was born in 1966 and brought up on a hill-farm near Bala, but has lived on the Llŷn peninsula since 1996.

She has exhibited extensively and has become one of Wales’ most popular and successful artists. Catrin was elected to the Royal Cambrian Academy in 2001.

Welshness, or rather the experience of living in Wales, is a constant theme in her work.

Her inspiration comes from her background and upbringing in Meirionnydd: the home and the farm; celebrations and the clothing; music and Welsh culture.

Catrin’s latest exhibition is a solo show at Oriel Tegfryn in Menai Bridge, open until February 23. It consists of 30 new paintings, with all her work up for sale.
